A warm welcome to you aboard Kenya Airways
2013 has been a year of triumph here at Kenya Airways. This is the year we marked our 36th anniversary since taking to the skies. This is also the year that we expanded our global footprint in line with our strategy to cover and connect the global route network. We have launched new direct flights to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, to Livingstone in Zambia and to Blantyre in Malawi.
In this year that also marks 50 years of Kenya’s independence, we have expanded and upgraded our fleet. We now have our first-ever sleek Boeing 777-300ER aircraft which is making direct flights to Guangzhou, China, three times a week.
This aircraft offers our passengers new and enhanced in-flight facilities with its interior environment. With full flatbed seats and leather foot-rests, a laptop storage area and privacy dividers on the armrests, Wi-Fi connectivity, a 15.4-inch touch screen monitor for each seat, high-quality in-flight entertainment, power plugs and USB ports, the Boeing 777-300ER, better known as Maasai Mara, gives you a premier in-flight experience.
We could not have achieved this without your valued support as our esteemed clients. For this we thank you most sincerely. We also appreciate the patience you exhibited when we suffered service disruption following the fire that engulfed the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in August.
We at Kenya Airways are looking forward to the New Year 2014, which we anticipate will be an even more exciting one. This is the year we expect delivery of two more Boeing 777-300ER and nine Boeing 787-8 aircraft, also known as Dreamliners.
We base our success on your confidence in our constantly improving service delivery and safety standards. This has made us become the leading airline in the region and a true Pride of Africa. At Kenya Airways our purpose is to connect you to what is important in your life through friendly, reliable air travel.
As we approach this festive season, on behalf of Kenya Airways I wish you all happy holidays.
Once again, thank you for flying Kenya Airways, the Pride of Africa.
