Try this… Christmas Dawa
While the northern parts of the world are accustomed to sipping eggnog around a fire during Christmas, those of us further south partake instead of iced, boozy beverages on sandy shores. Here, we’ve given the Dawa – a proud Kenyan classic – a simple, fruity twist.
All you need is:
• 1 cup orange juice
• 2 limes sliced into quarters
• 1 tsp Angostura Bitters
• 1 tot Kenyan Cane
• 1 tbsp honey
Take muddler and coat the bottom-end in honey. Throw lime slices in glass and muddle till sufficient amount of lime juice has been produced. Pour remaining liquids into glass. Stir and serve with slice of lime on the glass’s rim for a bit of flair. Enjoy!
