Here’s the low-down on what’s cooking!
The Nairobi Restaurant Week is back! If you’re in Nairobi between 22 and 31 January, then you’re in for one of the tastiest treats the city has to offer…
History and Concept
Restaurant Week is a concept that started in New York in the early ’90s. The concept is simple: for a certain period of time a group of restaurants agree to offer set menus for lunch and dinner at a fixed price. The aim is to encourage great restaurant experiences at affordable prices and to showcase the city’s growing culinary scene.
2015 Nairobi Restaurant Week
Last year’s Restaurant Week saw over 50 participating outlets offering cuisines such as Thai, Italian, Brazilian BBQ, and many more. This year the restaurants will price their menus at either Ksh1000/1500 respectively for lunch and dinner, or at Ksh1500/2000 respectively for lunch and dinner. The offer will only be running for ten days, so make sure you get a taste of the action!

Try this… Magnum Martini
January is the time of year when we make well-meaning promises to ourselves. The sad thing is, this is often at the expense of food, liquor and other tasty treats. Well, on behalf of food and liquor I’d like to say we’re offended. There’s no harm in a little bit of indulgence here and there. Usher in your New Year by preparing this indulgent cocktail with the award-winning Magnum Cream Liqueur, and say cheers to a year filled with hard work and delicious rewards!
• Double tot magnum cream liqueur
• Single tot cruz vodka
• 15ml espresso
• 15ml chocolate syrup
Make it: Shake over ice and serve in martini glass.
