Family restaurant reviews
In a city as wide and as green as Nairobi, it’s easy to find a great restaurant or two where your children can have a blast and where you can relax and enjoy a drink and hearty meal.
Purdy Arms
The Purdy Arms lives up to Karen’s leafy green reputation with its wide, open lawns that are perfect for liberating young energy. Between their giant, colourful jumping castles, jungle gym, sand-pit and small soccer pitch, the afternoon will melt away to the sound of gleeful giggles. The restaurant seating opens up to the garden allowing you to keep an eye on playing children. On weekends you can shop at the vibrant market on the grounds or catch a football game on the screens. From pizza and prawns to grilled chicken kebabs their menu is filled with well-made, simple dishes.

Jade at Zen Garden
Jade at Zen Garden is the informal portion of this Asian garden – ideal for a lazy afternoon out with the kids. Sip on creative cocktails whilst taking on their famous metre-long, thin-crust pizza. After enjoying the trampoline, the children can nibble on items from the kids’ menu such as creamy pasta, hot fudge sundae or the hard-to-resist Ferrero Rocher milkshake. It’s an elegant environment with a playful and easygoing ambience.
