Team vow to get back on track
“We wish the team a successful leg as it takes on other rugby giants in Vegas. We are confident that the team will continue not only to shine on the world stage but also be great ambassadors of the Kenya Airways brand, and to fly the Kenyan flag high,” said Mbuvi Ngunze, the Chief Operating Officer of Kenya Airways during a send-off dinner hosted for the team at Ole Sereni. Kenya Airways is the team’s official sponsor.
The squad to Las Vegas was captained by Collins Injera, standing in for Andrew Amonde, who was out with a shoulder injury. Although the boys failed to reach the quarter-finals (they lost to Canada and South
Africa) they promised to get back on the saddle and re-evaluate their strategies ahead of future matches.
